Notes: On June 27, 1974 the rose garden was rededicated and renamed in honor of Marion W. Rivinus, the first president of the Morris Arboretum Associates and a member of the Advisory Board of Managers. In 1924 Lydia Morris built the formal rose garden and rock wall, replacing the mixed garden that was laid out in 1888. |
