    A man (poss. John Morris?) in a row boat on the Wissahickon. The boathouse has white railings and appears to be new. The image appears colorized. The boat house was located on a calm stretch of the Wissahickon Creek which bounds the estate on the southwest. Chestnut Hill College, just across the creek, was a convent at the time/

    John Morris is seated on Love Temple steps. Two swans swim toward him. He wears a Panama-style hat and dark suit. Summer c. 1911. Note: Similar to 2004.1.839 of John and Lydia at the pond. Swan Pond was constructed c. 1905. Love Temple was designed by Ernesto Ermete Gazzeri of Rome, Italy, installed at Compton in 1906.

    John Morris sitting in the flower walk trellis surveying the nearly treeless view below. A fountain was added before 1920. The rocks and seat are now part of the Garden Railway. This is probably early between 1890 and 1900 or earlier.
