    Woman at a pump outside of Cedar Grove. Cedar Grove originally stood in Harrowgate near Frankford and was the summer home of five generations of Paschalls and Morrises. The house served as the first summer home of John and Lydia Morris until the 1880's when they built Compton in chestnut Hill. In 1926-1927 Lydia had the house moved to Fairmount Park and it now managed by the Philadelphia Art Museum.

    Two wooden bowls from the Japanese Tea House Notes: The tea House was purchased in Tokyo, Japan, shipped to Compton and constructed in the woods near the carriage house (now Widener Education Center) in 1891. It was removed in 1939 by directive of the Arboretum Advisory Board. House parts and furnishings were dispersed to Penn Museum and Philadelphia Museum of Art.
