    The Bee Garden in 1963 included a bench built to honor "Lorenzo Lorraine Langstroth 1810-1895, Father of Modern Beekeeping". The bench was decaying, and a duplicate was recreated and reinstalled in the bee garden by Arboretum beekeeper Jim Bobb about 2015.
