Description Chestnut tree in English Park before roads and plants were added. The Fernery and green houses are in the background behind the tree. The formal garden is in the background to the right.
Notes:
This Chestnut Tree died in 1912 of "Chestnut Tree Blight". The step fountain was built on this location in 1916. The fountain was commissioned by Lydia in honor of her brother John who died in 1915.
