Full size cut out of Nathaniel Bagshaw Ward, inventor of the Wardian Case with a type of Wardian case used by plant explorers to transport delicate plants between continents.
In the box are orchids, ferns, and possibly tea and rubber plants which were most affected by the use of this case.
