|Title||Morris Estate Account Books 1905-1908|
|Scope & Content||
July 1905 through December 1908 - Monthly account book of Frank Gould with John T. Morris, noting monthly cash expenditures for employees, transit expenses, stationery costs and other incidentals.
Frank Gould was a landscape gardener from Wellsley, MA, who helped John Morris install and plant several features of the Arboretum.
There is a letter to John Morris from Joseph W. Mallinson dated January 23rd (presumably 1909), setting out a complaint against Frank Gould in respect of his wages. There is also a note, presumably reasonably concurrent, from Jas. L. Allan to Mr. Guernsey indicating the records he would produce for a meeting regarding the above. Both are with the book.
